Challenge: Two incumbent City Council women faced a “what have you done for me lately” communication battle in their respective electoral backyards.

Both ladies faced a re-election challenge to At-Large seats in very different political landscapes: one a big city with a diverse ethnic and economic population; the other an affluent, tight-knit (almost club-like) small community. The Gilpin Group created a targeted mail program that hit the right beats with the “base” supporters of both.

The result? Both won handily…and went to bigger and better things!*

*Ms. Choe to a Washington state position in International trade; Ms. Reynolds became Mayor of Beverly Hills.
